Huggies Pull-Ups Review and Giveaway!

Are you currently or about to start potty training your little one?

Well Huggies is a good place to start.  They have 2 different types of Pull-ups to choose from.  This way you can choose which way is the best for your child.  They have the Cooling Alert Pull-ups that have a cool sensation when they get wet to let your little on know what's going on and to warn them that they have to go!

And they have the learning designs.  These have a picture on them that fade when they get wet.  So when the picture disappears your child knows they need to go!  As I put it if they want the picture to stay you have to go potty!

My daughter uses the Cool Alert Pull-ups for she hates when they "get cool" and tells me when she needs to go potty or when she needs to be changed when she doesn't make it.  Now since we're in the early stages of training, she still uses diapers at night and some times during the early evening.

Now the Girl's version has Disney Princesses on them as the Boy's designs are Disney Cars.  The available sizes are 2T-3T and 3T-4T.  The best thing about Huggies Pull-ups are that the sides can open and be put back together unlike the other name brand.  So there aren't accidental rips that make you waste one, which always a plus!

To help you along the way on your potty training journey, Huggies has the POTTY DANCE!  This is a good way to get your child excited about potty training.  My daughter and I have fun learning this dance and doing it to remind her to let us know when she has to go!

To learn more about these products, you can go here.  You can sign up and find money-saving coupons.  Plus the site has a great community if you have any questions or need more advice from other parents.

Ocean Spray Fruit Snack Review

I recently received Ocean Spray Fruit Snacks to try out and review.  I was sent the Assorted Fruits and Berries & Cherries flavors.

If you're like me and have children, this is the perfect on-the-go snack to grab a few packs and throw into your purse for when the children get cranky  hungry.  Each pack is only 80 calories (10 pouches per box), contain 100% of your daily value of Vitamin C, and are Gluten Free.  My husband and daughter both really liked them.  It's tough to say which flavor, but they were gone within the week between the three of us.

The other plus is that Ocean Spray Fruit Snacks have Box tops for Education! Box Tops are coupons that you can clip from hundreds of different products, including this one, to give to your school.  Your school will earn 10¢ for each box top redeemed.  You can find other products that have box tops here

If you would like to try these out for yourselves, don't forget to print out this coupon to help you save $1.10/2 boxes!  Let me know what you think!  Did you have a favorite flavor?

I was given a sample of Ocean Spray Fruit Snacks to test it out and give my opinion.  I was not paid for my opinion, all opinions on this blog are my own.  This is not a sponsored post.

Today's Easy Kitchen Recipe: Frappuccino

I do this when I have leftover coffee after friends are over or in the morning. I pour the coffee into ice cube trays and then the next day instead of hitting up Starbucks, I throw a few of these into my magic bullet and pour some of my favorite flavored creamer in with it, blend and drink.  To me it's just as good as a $4 Starbucks drink!

Here's the Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Coffee
  • Ice Cube Trays
  • You Favorite Flavor Coffee Creamer (I use French Vanilla or Irish Creme)
Let the coffee cool down and then pour into the ice cube trays and put into the freezer.  You can always use coffee that's leftover from your morning coffee if you brewed too much or after you have friends over if you want to be even more frugal about it!  ;)

Once frozen, pop a few cubes into a blender and pour in your creamer.  Blend.  You add more or less creamer to get it the way you want it.  I find about 6 cubes and 1/8 cup creamer make a good sized drink for me.

What are your favorite flavor creamers?  Did you try something different with this recipe and it was delicious?  Let me know!

Downy Unstopables Review and Giveaway!

A few months ago I was given a free sample of Downy Unstopables from Vocalpoint.  The scent I received was called "Fresh".  First look you would think this was a fabric softener, but it's not.  It's a scent booster to be used with or without softener.  Supposedly the scent from this product last will last longer than 30 days.   I noticed the scent close to about one weeks in my closet.  To me, that's an alright amount of time.

First thing I noticed when I opened the box was it smelt like Spring to me, which instantly put a smile on my face.  They also have another scent called "Lush".  In fact, the other thing I saw was that they are little bead like  things.  They reminded me of candy melts, silly I know.  See for yourself:

I quickly looked up to see if it could be used in the HE washers, and was thrilled to see that it does!  All you have to do is throw some into the cap and throw them into the drum, not drawer.  I thought that was kind of cool.  Simple to use for a busy Mom.

My only complaint is that the scent didn't last as long as it says it would.  It was very simple to use, but for the price I've seen it in stores, I don't think I would personally buy it.  But again, I'm not really too big on things like this.  I usually use laundry detergent and that's it.  No dryers sheets either.

I have a free sample I would like to send to a lucky reader to give Downy Unstopables a try.  Just leave a comment with your first name and last initial and the state you are from.  Let me know how you do your laundry to save money!  Contest ends on March 15, 2012 at Midnight EST.  I will announce the winner following 3 days after the 15th and they will have 48 hours to respond or the prize will go to another winner. Winners will be chosen via Random.org.

I was given a sample of Downy Unstopables to test it out and give my opinion.  I was not paid for my opinion, all opinions on this blog are my own.  This is not a sponsored post.

Giveaways will include coupons, kids items, and recent/new food products!

Stay posted for some new and exciting reviews and more!

Yogurt Coated Strawberries

My daughter has been snacking on these ever since I made these.  They're called Yogurt Coated Strawberries.  I, myself, am in love with these!

Fear not, they are really quite simple to make!  When I saw the above picture I was drooling, but in the back of my head was "This is going to be hard, isn't it?"

Here's how I make them:

Ingredients:

  • Whole or Half Strawberries
  • Vanilla Greek Yogurt (you can use regular Vanilla yogurt, I just use Greek cause it has more protein)
  • Wax Paper
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Room in your Freezer for that cookie sheet!
Easy Peasy Instructions:

Cut your strawberries in half, dip them into the yogurt, and place onto the wax papered cookie sheet flat side down.  When you fill up the cookie sheet place into the freezer until firm!

Now how easy was that?  Let me know what you think of this recipe or if you did something different!  My daughter loves them, let me know if you've tried them out on your kids!
